Christian music has always been about the personal and communal beliefs in Christian living and faith. These songs often feature themes of praise, worship, penitence, and lament and run the gamut of styles from classical hymnals, large ensemble gospel performances, to even more contemporary meldings of genres including Christian Rock. Regardless of how you enjoy Christian music, the fact is that it features the themes that Christians want to hear.
But most secular music lacks those themes that matter. They don’t talk about the triumph of faith, the wonders of faith, and the benefits that can come to you and your community if you but believe in God and the words of Jesus Christ. So it’s not always easy to keep track of the latest and greatest developments in Christian music and musical subgenres. Which has included hip hop, gospel, rock, and classical hymnals and orchestras.
Which is a shame since Christian music is it’s own style of music, that uses performance, allusions, lyrics, and set and costume design to enhance the music’s all-important message. But the bands, musicians, and artists with shows listed on this page are a notable exception. You can expect that the tickets you buy will grant you entry to a musician who understands the needs of faith. You will come away from these concerts enriched, enlightened, and smiling from the sheer enjoyment of good music.
