Fillmore Auditorium

Situated in the Capitol Hill area of Denver, Colorado, the historic Fillmore Auditorium first opened its doors in 1907 as the Mammoth Roller Skating Rink. In the years before its conversion into a concert hall, it mainly served as a recreational center, with space for ice skating, hockey, basketball, ice polo, boxing, and wrestling. It was also a vehicle manufacturing plant for several years and acted as a temporary wedding hall during World War II. The venue hosted its first concert in 1960, with James Brown taking to the stage. In 1969, having been purchased by concert promoter Stuart Green, it opened as a nightclub for the first time under the name Mammoth Gardens. From 1986 – 1999, the venue hosted both concerts and sporting events as the Mammoth Events Center, hosting numerous music acts, including Beastie Boys, Ozzy Osbourne, Cyndi Lauper, Pantera, Slayer, Cypress Hill, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Jane's Addiction, Fugazi, the Offspring, Sublime, Butthole Surfers, Dream Theater, Blink-182, Oasis, Coldplay, Green Day and more.

In its iteration as Fillmore Auditorium, which opened in 1999, the venue has hosted over 1,900 concerts that have been attended by 2,700,000 patrons altogether, including a visit from President Barack Obama. It draws some of the world’s biggest acts and regularly ranks as one of the top 10 concert venues in North America, according to Billboard and Pollstar. The venue has also found favor with Billboard, Pollstar, and the Denver Post for its 2017 remodel.
