About Michael Bublé

Michael Bublé hardly needs an introduction as he has steadily built up a world-wide reputation as the most famous jazz singer on the mainstream music scene. The Canadian singer has given us plenty of studio releases over the last 25 years in his career. Most notably for his Christmas singles and chart topping cover versions that have developed a huge international fan base following.

For so many artists, following a music career has always been a life long personal dream and the same can be said for Michael Bublé, as he pictured one day becoming a famous singer from the very young age of two, it's safe to say music was always on his mind.

Bublé discovered his vocal talent around the holiday season and by the age of five, he was taking inspiration from the classic Bing Crosby White Christmas. By the age of 13, he was singing along to the song whilst travelling in the car with his family and this is when they took notice of his incredible singing gift.

By the time he had reached 16 years old, Michael Bublé began performing and really focussing on becoming the next best jazz singer. And in two years, Michael Bublé entered into a local talent contest and won, transforming his abilities and confidence to one day making it as a superstar artist.

In 2000, Bublé was on his way into stardom, with his first single releases of "I've Never Been in Love Before" and "Dumb ol' Heart" written for the film Here's To Life! For the two single releases, he took home two genie awards and who knew he had changed his life forever.

Breakthrough Years

Michael Bublé was lucky enough to soon after meet with talented award winning producer, David Foster who had worked with the likes of; Madonna, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson along with many many more. At first David was unsure whether to sign Bublé as his music wasn't as upbeat as his previous artist releases. However he later agreed to work with him and they began producing together his first label backed album and his third to date.

In 2003, Michael's debut was ready and with the release of his self titled album, his music exploaded onto the mainstream. The record included flawless cover versions of the likes of; Fever", "The Way You Look Tonight", "For Once in My Life", "Moondance" and "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine". The album hit the top 10 in the UK, Canada, South Africa and also grabbed the number one spot in Australia. After a mind blowing introduction into the charts, it was pretty clear to see that Michael Bublé was destined for greatness.

With an appearence on TV in the United States, he started to spread the word of his music within North America and in 2003, he performed his Christmas EP Let It Snow and also released it to the world. Bublé won New Artist of the Year at the 2004 Juno Awards for his much loved work and paved a way for his next studio album releases to follow.

Album Releases

Now that everybody knew exactly who Michael Bublé was, he returned to the scene in 2005 with his fourth album, It's Time. His second album was an instant hit, this time on a global scale as it hit number one on the charts in Canada, Italy, Japan, Australia and the United States. The record also sparked a huge wave of dedicated fans, listening to the likes of; "You Don't Know Me", "Feeling Good", "Can't Buy Me Love", "Save the Last Dance for Me", "Song for You", and "Quando, Quando, Quando" (a duet with Canadian pop singer Nelly Furtado). And of course the song that still remains to be many of his fans favorites til this day - "Home", co-written by Bublé, his musical director Alan Chang, and Amy Foster-Gilles.

For two years running It's Time was a number one hit on the Billboard Jazz Albums - an absolute triumph for Michael Bublé as he had always dreamed about accomplishing just that.

Next Bublé brought out his fifth studio record, Call Me Irresponsible and once again gave us popular hit songs,  "Always on My Mind", "Dream", "I've Got the World on a String", and "Comin' Home Baby" (a duet with Boyz II Men). The album hit the number one position on the Billboard charts in it's second week of release!

As Michael Bublé's popularity grew wider and further afield, by the time of his sixth album release, his fans were waiting eagerly to hear more. Crazy Love came out in 2009 and included possibly his biggest single to date -  "Haven't Met You Yet". Crazy Love was a major worldwide hit, this time reaching number one in multiple countries and later becoming his fastest selling album in the history of his career.

In 2011, he returned to his love for the holiday season and celebrated it with a seventh studio album titled Christmas - this gave Michael Bublé his reputation and also reached number one in the UK, US and Australia.

For the next few years, Michael Bublé appeared on several TV programs, such as My Musical Brain and a comedy show, Colbert Report. As now a legendary artist on the scene, he also took part in the 6th series of the UK TV competition, The X Factor, where he appeared as a celebrity mentor and performed a duet with Stacey Soloman.

2013 saw the release of Michael Bublé's eighth album, To Be Loved which once again was a great success. The record was led by the single "It's a Beautiful Day" and reached number one on the Billboard 200. With this release, Bublé hit the road on a worldwide tour in support of the album and performed at iconic venues in London and South Africa.

After a busy few years of touring and taking a much needed break in between, Michael Bublé dropped his ninth studio release in 2016, titled Nobody But Me. The release featured three original songs and nine cover versions.

2018 - Now

Throughout his career, Michael Bublé really has proven his talents and has become the biggest jazz singer of modern music. With a steady stream of releases and unbelievable performances, it's no wonder that he has become such an idol to many around the world.

Michael's most recent album release, Love came out in 2018 and gave his fans the beautiful single, "When I Fall In Love." As Love marked his tenth album to date, Bublé jokingly said this may be his last. However we all know that wasn't true as in 2019, Michael Bublé started his tour in support of his previously released album, Love and started off in Tampa.
