In 2012, Puerto Rican actress, comedian, and writer Gina Brillon became the first Latina winner of NBC’s Stand up for Diversity Showcase. She has since made appearances on America’s Got Talent, HBO Max’s HA Festival: The Art of Comedy, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, E!’s Chelsea Lately, The View, Late Night with Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Brillon has released two Amazon Prime comedy specials: Pacifically Speaking and The Floor is Lava, the latter of which won a 2021 Gracie Award and is nominated for an Imagen Award.
