When Cogeco Amp was first built and opened to the public, it offered the people of Trois-Rivières, Quebec a performance space like none other. It offers a mix of natural beauty and all the features that you might expect from similar venues in North America. 

But one of the most famous features of the venue comes from its performance calendar. From June to September, it presents a variety of outdoor shows including an annual Cirque du Soleil show that has been ongoing since 2015 until 2024. During the coldest parts of the year, Cogeco Amp becomes a cabaret-style indoor venue using just the main stage of the amphitheater. 

And all this while the venue is located at the confluence of the St. Maurice River and the St. Lawrence River. This gives it an unmatched beauty that most other outdoor venues couldn’t hope to match. During the warmer seasons, this means shows can often feature stunning musical performances while guests can breathe in fresh air while seated in the grass esplanade. And state-of-the-art outdoor stage facilities and tech keeps it an attractive location for shows, events, concerts, and tour dates from some of the biggest international productions. 

All this has led to the region becoming a major part of the economic and touristic development for Trois-Rivières, Quebec.

The Cirque Du Soleil

Cogeco Amp has been proud to offer The Cirque du Soleil a stunning location for their summer series of events. Each year this places the unstoppable creativity of The Greatest Circus in the World on stage for residents and visitors to see. These events are colorful, joyous, vivid, and vibrant, with a stunning mix of music, song, and the classic circus arts that has become an integral part of the Cirque du Soleil experience.

Seating Chart

Cogeco Amp is a versatile venue that has been designed with the Quebec seasons in mind. That means that during the warmer months, the venue is open to a variety of events that are perfectly suited to the outdoors. During these events, it offers hundreds of reserved seating options as well as lawn space for a reported 5,500 guests. 

The covered seating area of the Cogeco Amphitheatre feature 28 wheelchair slots with an accompanying space for each in Section 300. Each location gives a perfectly clear view of the presented event. For large-scale events, a wheelchair section is added to the grassed esplanade. If you are experiencing difficulties or need assistance, do not hesitate to call on staff.

During the colder months, the venue becomes an indoor venue with hundreds of reserved only seating including accessibility and companion seats.

Rules

In order to make your visit a safe and comfortable experience, the venue staff requests that you take the time to read and understand the rules and policies below. Be sure you abide by them during your visit, as failure to do so may result in expulsion from the venue without refund. If you have any questions, you may reach out to the venue at 819 380-9797.

Seating Policy

Guests are expected to sit in the space purchased by their ticket. Exchanges are not allowed. In addition, guests are expected to behave appropriately during their visit.

Reentry Policy

No reentry is allowed. PLease bring everything you need before you come to the gate. If you leave, then you will not be allowed back in.

Restricted Items Policy

The following items are not allowed within the venue.

• Food / beverages / alcohol / cans / glass, plastic or any kind of bottles containing liquid (empty bottles are accepted and can be filled in one of our water stations)
• Animals (unless authorized animals such as guide dogs)
• Umbrellas or any other object that obstructs the spectator's view
• Professional cameras*, audio devices, video cameras or any similar device
• Backpacks / suitcases / sports bags or any other type of bag
• Tobacco products, electronic cigarettes or any illicit substance (smoking or steaming inside the Cogeco Amphitheatre, even on the grass esplanade, is prohibited)
• Bells, horns or any object or device emitting noise
• Drones or similar devices
• Chairs (unless otherwise advise)
• Weapons and bladed weapons
• Any other object identified as hazardous or harmful by security personnel.

The Cogeco Amphitheatre does not have any place to store items. Anyone with any of the items listed above will therefore be denied access to the indoor and outdoor theatre and may even confiscate items identified as hazardous or harmful to spectators and employees. In any case, no object will be recoverable.

Parking

Cogeco Amp is located at 100 Av. des Draveurs, Trois-Rivières, QC G9A 5H3, Canada. Your preferred map making software or GPS can get you to the venue on time. However, to make sure you don’t miss the show, please try and arrive no later than 40 minutes before the show as shows begin at the time listed on your ticket. If you have mobility needs or require accommodations, we urge that you arrive no later than an hour before the event.

In order to meet the customer demand, several parking spaces are available to them. Their availability varies from one event to the next and fees may be associated. To find the parking spaces available during your event, please contact the venue or speak with staff once you arrive.
