Bluestem Amphitheater has become an integral part of the performing arts in Fargo-Moorhead. The venue celebrates the creativity of artists and performers from all over the world with summer concerts that draws thousands of music lovers from near and far and a variety of special events and experiences. The venue itself has plenty of room with an incredible outdoor stage set up with room for thousands of guests. It offers a gorgeous view of some of Minnesota’s best river views and a warm atmosphere that is complete with grassy meadows, nearby woods, and picturesque views of wildlife in their natural habitat not far from the show.
But what really makes the venue stand out is that it’s part of the Trollwood Performing Arts School, which is dedicated to the development and celebration of the arts. This school supports local artists as well as artists from all walks of life across the world. On top of this, the venue’s collaboration between Fargo Public Schools and the City of Moorhead creates opportunities for arts education and enrichment like none other. For many, it has inspired a love of the arts and community that has affected visitors of all ages.

Bluestem Amphitheater is an outdoor concert venue with space for about 3,000 guests across five seating areas.Seats are arranged in three columns of reserved seating with permanent chairs across multiple rows and levels and two general admission lawn spaces on the sides. Permanent seating is designed for comfort with sturdy white chairs that will keep you comfy during the show, while lawn seating has plenty of space for families and individuals to relax and enjoy the show.
Accessibility seating is available towards the rear of all five seating areas and is available on a first come, first serve basis. If you require emergency or last-minute accessibility seating, then please contact the venue at 701.298.0071 for more information.
To keep the venue as safe and enjoyable as policy, Bluestem Amphitheater has created a set of rules and guidelines. Please take the time to read and abide by these rules. ADA Policy
Accessibility needs may be requested if you call the venue ahead of time. This includes emergency ADA-seating for mobility needs as well as companion seats. Please call at least two weeks of time before a show so the venue has time to assist you.
Alcohol/Smoking Policy
Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at the venue for adults 21 years of age and older with a valid ID. Sales of beer and other alcoholic beverages will be restricted to inside the Bluestem Amphitheater during select events. No outside alcohol is permitted.
Smoking is restricted to designated areas located outside of the amphitheater. Please be respectful of other guests and do not attempt to smoke inside the venue.
Camera Policy
Camera policies vary depending on each performance. In most cases, disposable and non-professional cameras are permitted. Professional cameras with removable lenses are not.
Children Policy
Bluestem Amphitheater is an all-ages venue. All guests are required to have a ticket in order to be admitted into the venue, regardless of age. Car seats are not permitted unless a ticket is purchased for the child to place the car seat in a venue seat. Car seats cannot be held on a lap, placed on the ground, stairways, or walkways. Strollers are not permitted inside the amphitheater.

Weather Policy
All shows are set to go on rain or shine. So please dress appropriately. If a show is canceled due to extreme weather then events may be postponed or refunded. Call the venue to ask what happens next if your event is canceled or postponed due to weather.
Bluestem Amphitheater is located at 801 50th Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56560.Your favorite GPS or map making software should get you to the venue without issue. However, we recommend getting there no later than 40 minutes before the show begins so you can get past security and to your seat with plenty of time to spare. If you have mobility needs or need to discuss accommodations with the venue, then please give yourself at least an hour.
Once you arrive, there is limited parking available on the grounds surrounding the amphitheater. As parking spaces may be limited, especially closer to the show start time, we recommend carpooling. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle or use a rideshare service. The venue has partnered with nearby Legends Sports Bar and Murphy’s Pub to offer shuttle services from their location.
