The Nashville Municipal Auditorium was used to host the NCAA Belmont Bruins from 2001 - 2003, while their home arena was being rebuilt. It hosted the Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournaments 12 times. And it currently hosts the annual Magnet Madness basketball game between Hume-Fogg High and Martin Luther King Magnet. It’s also hosted several WWE wrestling events as well as the NWA’s inaugural WrestleWar event.
The venue was home court for the NCAA Belmont Bruins basketball teams from 2001 to 2003 while Striplin Gym was demolished to make way for Curb Event Center.
The venue hosted the Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournament in 1989, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
It currently hosts the annual Magnet Madness basketball game between rivals Hume-Fogg High School and Martin Luther King Magnet. But nothing is more famous than the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum that’s been at the venue since 2013.

Nashville Municipal Auditorium is located at 417 4th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37201. Many guests use ride share to get to the venue easily. But if you’re looking to drive in, then here are some directions.
From Franklin/Brentwood via I-65N, take exit 82A to merge onto I-40 W/I-65 N toward Louisville/Memphis. Take exit 209 (Church St/Charlotte Ave). Go straight to the third stop light and turn right onto Charlotte Ave. Go down Charlotte to 5th Ave North and turn left at the stop light onto 5th Ave North. The Auditorium will be on your right.
From Goodlettsville via I-65S, continue onto I-24E following signs for Chattanooga/Knoxville.
Take exit 48, James Robertson Parkway. Stay straight to go onto Interstate Drive. Turn right onto James Robertson Parkway and cross the Victory Memorial Bridge. The Auditorium is located on your left at the fourth stop light after you cross the bridge.
From Murfreesboro via I-24W, take exit 48, James Robertson Parkway. Bear to your right onto the parkway and cross the Victory Memorial Bridge. The Auditorium is located on your left at the fourth stop light after you cross the bridge.
From Clarksville via I-24E, take exit 48, James Robertson Parkway. Stay straight to go onto Interstate Drive. Turn right onto James Robertson Parkway and cross the Victory Memorial Bridge. The Auditorium is located on your left at the fourth stop light after you cross the bridge.
From Lebanon via I-40W, take a slight right onto I-24W. Take exit 48, James Robertson Parkway towards the State Capitol and cross the Victory Memorial Bridge. The Auditorium is located on your left at the fourth stop light after you cross the bridge.
From Memphis via I-40E, take exit 209 (Charlotte Ave). Turn left at the stop light at the end of the ramp onto Charlotte Avenue. Travel down Charlotte to 5th Ave North and turn left at the stoplight on 5th Avenue. The Auditorium will be on your right.
Once you arrive there is plenty of parking nearby. Please make sure you bring extra cash or credit cards as different parking options may have different rates and accepted means of payment.
Like many multipurpose arenas, Nashville Municipal Auditorium has several arrangements for guests. For most events, the venue has seating space for 8,500-9,500 guests, depending on the needs of the visiting performers, teams, or musicians. All seats are updated modernized arena style seating with pre-built seating with arm-rests and flip down cushions. Some events may set up temporary seating on the arena floor a well.
Seating does include space for wheelchairs and companions throughout the venue that is served at a first-come, first-serve basis.
