Westfair Amp is an outdoor venue with space for around 12,000 guests in a largely standing-room only general admission format. It provides plenty of room for guests to enjoy hot music from the biggest bands, musicians, and performers as well as the finest food and drinks from on-site vendors.
The performance space was first built and opened in the late 1980s - early 90s and is Council Bluffs most stunning outdoor performance venue. It boasts state-of-the-art sound and lighting technology as well as a gorgeous location for exciting shows, events, and performances. Though it’s most famous for country and rock concerts, it has also featured big name performers in the alternative music genres as well as the R&B genre. It’s wide and large stage is visible from every audience seating section at the venue and is often beloved for the breathtaking view of the Missouri River. It’s also close to historical attractions including the Hiram Kimball House, Bayliss Park, Union Pacific Museum, Brigham City Park as well as numerous nature trails.

But what is it like to be a guest at Westfair Amp? For the most part it depends on whether you’re coming for a larger concert or festival ora more intimate community event. But one thing is for certain, events are often packed with energetic and enthusiastic fans. Many performers have said that Council Bluffs has some of the loudest fans who put out an impressive energy that just radiates from the crowd all the way to the stage. So as you can imagine, there’s always a huge positive vibe during these events that can’t be denied.
The only problem is that this can make lines long. Which is why most returning guests suggest that you arrive early so you can pick your favorite parking spaces and so you limit how much time you spend in lines.
Once you arrive though, it’s just a relaxing scene. Whether you’re in the general assembly space or the on the lawn, there’s a calm and welcoming feel that makes every show a memorable experience for music lovers.

Westfair Amp is a massive outdoor venue with a terrific view from all angles to the stage. Great care has been taken to ensure that no matter where you’re seated, there’s plenty of room for guests to enjoy the show as well as a clear and uninterrupted view of the events on stage.
General Admission Events
For most events, Westfair Amp is a fully general admission venue. This means that if you come early, you can get your preferred space on the lawn or move closer to the stage as you like. If you arrive late, then you may have to squeeze in if you want to be up near the stage. Lawn space is available at all sides surrounding the main audience standing-room only space.
Reserved Seating Events
If an event has reserved seating, then it will be arranged within the main audience area.
Accessibility Space
Westfair Amp strives to be as inclusive a venue as possible. For that reason, the staff is more than willing to offer you the best accommodations required, including space for companions.
Westfair Amp wants all guests to have a wonderful time at the show. To ensure this, they ask that all guests read and follow a set of rules and policies that apply to all guests once they arrive. Please take the time to read these rules. Because failure to abide by them may result in expulsion without refund.

Alcohol Policy
Sales of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 are strictly prohibited. Patrons under 40 can expect to provide a valid driver’s license or identification card to purchase alcohol.
Animal Policy
Service Animals as defined by the American Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted. Comfort animals are not defined as service animals and will not be permitted. Venue staff asks that you leave all other furry friends at home. Please be sure that your service animals are under control at all times during your visit.
Bag Policy
Bags that are smaller than 8.5'' x 11'' are approved for entry to the venue. This includes small clutch bags, fanny packs, clutches with shoulder strap, and purses. Larger bags will not be allowed including sling bags, cooler bags, hydration packs, clear totes, diaper bags, solid drawstring bags, solid tote bags, backpacks (solid or clear), Oversized tote bags, and messenger bags.
All bags are subject to search before being allowed within the venue. If you choose not to allow security to search your bags, then you may be asked to leave.

Camera Policy
Video cameras, professional cameras with detachable or zoom lenses, GoPros, selfie sticks, and tripods are prohibited. Policies around point and shoot cameras vary by event and are up to the discretion of the tour or event organizer.
Some events may mandate absolutely no use of cameras or videos – including cell phone cameras/video. Staff will ensure that these events are announced ahead of time in the event description.
Please consider the enjoyment of those around you when taking pictures/video – no one wants to watch a show through the cell phone of the person in front of them. Patrons may be asked to put cameras/cell phones away if it interferes with other patrons' enjoyment of the event.
Child Ticket Policy
Most events require all patrons to have a ticket, however, this will vary by event and is up to the discretion of the tour or event organizer. Some events may be age-restricted and will be pointed out in the event description.
Entry/Re-Entry Policy
For ticketed events, re-entry with the same ticket is not permitted.
Lost and Found Policy
During an event, lost items can be dropped off at Guest Services, where patrons may also check if they have lost an item. If you are looking for an item after the event has concluded, please contact the ticket office. Be prepared to leave a detailed description of your lost item as well as complete contact information.

Prohibited Items Policy
For the safety and comfort of guests, staff and artists, the following items are prohibited.
Any item management deems a safety hazard or would diminish the guest experience, including signs or garments deemed offensive
Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final. Once an event has started (defined as when the first act takes the stage), the event is no longer eligible for refunds.
In the instance an event is canceled (prior to starting) or rescheduled, refunds may be requested at the point of purchase.
For rescheduled events, some promoters may require refunds be requested within a set time frame following the announcement of the new date. Please contact the ticket office immediately if the new date does not work for your party.
Smoking Policy
Westfair Amp is a smoke-free/vape-free venue. Smoking/vaping is permitted ONLY in designated locations.
Westfair Amp is located at 22984 US-6, Council Bluffs, IA 51503. You can find accurate and up-to-date directions, including any information about potential delays, if you use your favorite GPS device or app or map making software.
Please be advised that show times start at the listed start time on your ticket so please be sure that you arrive early. Because major events and concerts can be packed, we recommend showing up no less than an hour before the ticketed event start time. If you require extra accommodation or assistance, then please give yourself extra time.
Parking is free all year round if you park at the venue.
Depending on the size of the event, there will be one or two entrances open. The main entrance is on Hwy 6 and the secondary one is on the north side (look for a gravel road). Previous visitors recommend that if you’re coming from the west to take a left on Hackberry rd to get you to the north entrance.
If you arrive early, you can park closer to the top of the hill to avoid a slight climb. You may have to walk to get to the venue from parking otherwise, so give yourself extra time as required.
