CAREER

2014-2015: Beginnings

Aminé’s debut mixtape, Odyssey To Me, was released on January 17, 2014. His debut EP, En Vogue, was released on September 4, 2014, but it was Calling Brío, his second mixtape, that brought him recognition on the scene. The mixtape was released on August 31, 2015, and features production from  Kaytranada, Tek.Lun, and Pasqué, as well as Aminé himself.

2016-2017: Breakthrough and Good For You

Aminé released his debut single, "Caroline", on March 9, 2016. The single peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since been certified six-times platinum. His self-directed music video, which was released on YouTube and Vevo on June 1, 2016, has since been viewed over 300 million times.

That August, he signed to Republic Records, releasing his first single on the label, "Baba", on November 4, 2016. "REDMERCEDES", his next single, was released on April 7, 2017, and its official remix, featuring vocals from Missy Elliott and AJ Tracey, was released on May 26 – the same day as a new single, "Heebiejeebies" featuring Kehlani.

On June 13, 2017, Aminé was named one of the ten members of XXL's 2017 Freshman Class. Three days later, he released the single "Turf". Later in June, the singles "Blinds" and "Wedding Crashers" featuring Offset were released in the run-up to the release of Aminé’s debut album, Good For You. Good For You was released on July 28, 2017, and debuted at number 31 on the US Billboard 200. It features collaborations with Ty Dolla Sign, Nelly, Offset, Charlie Wilson, and Kehlani. On October 21, he released the single "Squeeze".

2018-present: OnePointFive, Limbo, and TwoPointFive

Later on in the year, on August 15, he released the mixtape OnePointFive. His song "Invincible" was part of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack, released on December 14, 2018.

After a year out from releasing new tracks, Aminé released the single "Shimmy" on February 26, 2020, followed by "Riri" on May 29. On July 6, the same day as announcing and revealing the cover art and release date for his second studio album, Limbo, he released the single "Compensating" featuring Young Thug. The album debuted at number 16 on the US Billboard 200 chart and features guest appearances from JID, Charlie Wilson, Young Thug, Slowthai, Vince Staples, Summer Walker, and Injury Reserve.
