Mom Jeans Concerts Tickets

High energy, radio-friendly pop-punk is what Mom Jeans bring to the table! Mostly fun, sometimes emo, but packing a whole lotta punch, the band is reminiscent of groups like Green Day and Blink-182 - bringing a tongue-in-cheek playfulness at all times!

ABOUT MOM JEANS

Mom Jeans is an indie rock band from Berkeley, California, consisting of Eric Butler, Bart Thompson, Austin Carango, and Sam Kless.

CAREER

Mom Jeans was formed in early-2014 when guitarist Austin Carango and lead singer Eric Butler were at UC Berkeley. That May, the duo released the Spring Demo acoustic EP on Fourth Row Records. Not long after, they added Josh Perline on bass/vocals and David McDowall on drums to their line-up and released a self-titled EP. Later that summer, Carango, Butler, and Perline released a third EP, before recording their debut full-length album, Allergic. After the album was released, Gabriel (Gabe) Paganin joined the band as live bassist and Josh Perline left the band amicably.

Mom Jeans’ debut studio album, Best Buds, was released in July 2016. The album was released on cassette via Fourth Row Records and was re-released that November by Counter Intuitive Records.

On March 7, 2017, Mom Jeans released a split EP with the Fresno-based band Graduating Life. Bart Thompson of Graduating Life and Meet Me in Montauk subsequently joined the band as a guitarist. That October, they released another split EP, this time with the bands Pictures of Vernon and Prince Daddy & The Hyena, called NOW That's What I Call Music Vol. 420. That month, the band also announced that they had signed with SideOneDummy Records, although soon after, the band confirmed that they would no longer be working with the label and instead continue to work with Counter Intuitive Records to release their second studio album. The album, Puppy Love, was released on July 3, 2018.

In 2019, the band experienced another line-up change, with bassist Gabriel Paganin leaving the group, and began work on their third studio album, Sweet Tooth. They also supported Hobo Johnson on his North American tour. Sweet Tooth was released on February 25, 2022, preceded by its lead single, “What’s Up?” on September 28, 2021.
