Voted in the TOP 5 theatres in America, the PNC Bank Arts Amphitheatre is a premier venue, with a mega seating capacity of 17,500, with the grass areas allowing for a whopping 10,500 people! The Amphitheatre was originally named Garden State Arts Center. The amphitheatre was designed by noted modernist architect Edward Durell Stone and featured open sides covered by a 200-foot (61 m), saucer-like roof supported by eight large concrete pillars.

The Garden State Arts Center first opened on June 12, 1968, with a program featuring pianist Van Cliburn, conductor Eugene Ormandy, and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

 A few years ago Janet Jackson wowed audiences with her most controversial and successful tour for many years The Unbreakable Tour. Black sabbath also brought a strong rock performance and Holmdel was rocking all night long at the PNC Bank Arts Center,  Aussie pop/ rock group 5 seconds of Summer returned for a second year after their hugely successful show earlier in 2015!

VIP

Amenities range from food upgrades, special seating, merchandise packages, travel, or backstage passes. Please review the seat notes on the VIP package you select for more information.

Flexible

Flex Tickets put you in a specific section, with the row and seat being determined closer to the date of the show. This is typically done to ensure you (the purchaser) gets the best possible seat available.

Lawn

Lawn seats are General Admission, and allow an attendees to stretch their legs out in the sun and on the grass. Depending on the event, towels or lawn chairs may be allowed in. Check the seat notes for more details.

Accessible Parking

ADA parking is designed on a first-come-first-serve basis, and no additional VIP parking tickets are needed. This is a great way to get your parking spaces. Parking lots will open one hour prior to doors, which takes the stress out of your concert experience!

Mayhem Festival, The Uproar Festival, The Gigantour, The Area:One and Area2 Festival, Ozzfest, Projekt Revolution, Crüe Fest and Crüe Fest 2. Lilith Fair, the venue hosts some of the biggest concerts and music featival in the US.

PNC Bank Arts Center features one of the most extravagant drive through light displays in the tri – state area. The spectacular is a 2.5-mile (4.0 km) drive through a forest of lights. Over 5 million lights were used over 225 displays. The Light Spectacular usually runs from the end of November through January 2. You will not see anything like it in the surrounding area and is worth checking out, even if you are not attending a show!

Accessible Seating

Accessibility seating is available through either the box office at (732) 203-2500 ext. 3714. If you require the disabled parking spots, please ensure you have a valid New Jersey Disabled license plate or state permit. The center has special needs seating located in the Loge and Orchestra sections. Accessible lawn seating is also available. For more information concerning special needs.

General Rules

Please follow the PNC Bank Center Rules to ensure the best possible experience and safety for patrons attending performances and concerts.

The PNC Bank Arts Center enforces the law prohibiting underage consumption of alcohol anywhere on site. Violators will be prosecuted.

NO recording equipment, radios, TVs or unauthorized electronic equipment. NO alcoholic beverages, smoking, bottles, cans, coolers, weapons.

NO Laser Pointers. One factory sealed bottle of water per person.

FIRST AID Station can be located at the right side of the main plaza.

Camera Policy

Personal cameras are allowed in the venue. Flash photography, video and removable lens cameras are not permitted without venue approval.

Will Call

Pick up tickets one hour prior to show. Customer must present the actual credit card used to place the order and a photo ID.

Concessions

Please use Concession stands available for food and drink purchases. Personal food must be packed within one factory sealed clear plastic bag.

Lawn chairs

PERSONAL LAWN CHAIRS are NOT ALLOWED. Blankets are still allowed and chairs are available to rent for $5

The PNC Bank Arts Center has some great parking options for patrons.

ADA Parking is first come-first serve. With the VIP parking options available, these can be purchased prior to an event. Once purchased these lots are then reserved until event start.

Parking lots will open 1 hour prior to an event, we recommend arriving as early as possible to ensure a space

Tailgating

Please ensure you follow the standard procedure for tailgating at the Pnc Bank Arts center, ensure you leave your area clean and tidy and use the disposal coal bins/ bags provided.

Public Transportation

The PNC Bank Arts Center has its very own shuttle services. This can be located by taking the NJ Transit to the Aberdeen/Matawan train station and get on the free PNC Bank Arts Center Shuttle to come to the show!

Is Parking Free at the PNC Bank Arts Center?

Parking is not free at the PNC Bank Arts Center, all event attendees must pay a charge of $6, this includes those who don’t possess a car, as it includes a per-ticket parking fee scheme. Larger vehicles such as those carrying 3 people are just at $18 per car.

Can I get alcohol at the PNC Bank Arts Center?

Yes, the PNC Bank Arts Center offers a wide range of alcoholic beverages. You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol into the venue

Can I bring food into the PNC Bank Arts Center?

Events attendees are permitted to bring their own food, however it must be stored and sealed inside of a clear plastic bag, container.

Are all seats covered at the PNC Bank Arts Center?

All seats are covered at the venue, however lawn seats are open air. If you are sitting in the last 400 rows you may be susceptible to some rain depending on the wind direction. Check out the seating chart for more info on seating locations.

Can I bring chairs to the PNC BANK Arts Center?

Unfortunately the PNC Bank Arts Center no longer allow you to bring your own lawn chairs. These must be rented from within the venue

Are you allowed to bring a bag into the Pnc Arts center?

Yes you can bring in a sealed water bottle and a snack in a plastic bag. Please prepared for bag search upon entry

Items ALLOWED to be brought in to venue:

  • Small bags/back packs no larger than 16x16x8.
  • Cameras – nonprofessional only, no detachable lenses
  • Small umbrellas
  • Water – up to 1 gallon in a factory sealed or empty bottle

The Box Office entrance can be located at the Main Gates, please be aware that it will not be open for the season until May.

Can I buy food or drink when I get inside?

Yes – there is a variety of food and drink stands located on the premises, these range from Hot Dogs, popcorn, nachos, fountain soda, water and more.

When do the parking lots open?

Parking lots open around 2 hours before the scheduled gate time. Gate times can vary but typically open 1 hour prior to the show start.

Can I park overnight?

There is no available overnight parking.
