Columbian reggaeton and cumbia singer/songwriter, rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Feid was born Salomón Villada Hoyos in Medellín, Colombia. Raised in a musical household, he began learning to read music and play the clarinet at the age of nine and joined a children’s choir, where he discovered his love of singing. He continued to sing throughout high school and college, determined to pursue music as a vocation, and as he got older, he became drawn to reggaeton.

Whilst still in school, Feid began working as a songwriter, writing for artists including Nicky Jam, Alberto Stylee, Magnate and Valentino, Reykon, and J Balvin. In 2015, he released his debut single, "Morena," which became a hit all over Latin America, helped by its extensive play on the radio and in clubs, and by the popularity of its music video. That October, he self-released his debut album, Asi Como Suena. Later that year, he co-wrote the J Balvin song  "Ginza," which was certified multi-platinum and topped the Hot Latin Songs chart.

Feid signed to Universal Music in 2016 and released the single "Que Raro," featuring J Balvin, which hit number 16 on the Tropical Songs chart. The following November, he re-recorded and released Asi Como Suena, this time featuring guests including Jory and Nacho.

In 2018, he released several singles, including "Nuestra Canción" and "Sígueme," and the  Greeicy collaboration "Perfecto." 19, Feid’s second studio album, was released in May 2019. The album was certified platinum and was nominated for a Latin Grammy award in the Best Urban Album category. That year was a breakthrough year for the artist, who appeared in the charts 15 times throughout 2019. "Fresh Kerias," with Maluma and Sky Rompiendo charted in 19 countries and reached the top 20 of the Columbian charts. Its follow-up, "Porfa" with Justin Quiles, peaked at number two in Argentina and charted in 13 countries.

2020 saw the release of the album Ferxxo (Vol. 1: M.O.R.), which was certified double-platinum in Mexico. The album featured the singles "Boraxxa" with Manuel Turizo and "CU U U U UX" with Alvaro Diaz, and reached number 27 on the Top Latin Album chart. That September, he released the 10-track EP Bahia Ducati, which featured collaborations with Sech on "Jamaica," Zion & Lennox on "Fotografia," and De la Ghetto on "Break Up." It reached number 30 on the Top Latin Albums chart.

Inter Shibuya: La Mafia, his fourth studio album, was released on August 20, 2021. It peaked at numbers 29 and 20 on the Top Latin Albums and Latin Rhythm Albums charts, respectively. The album also won Album of the Year – New Artist at the 2022 Premios Tu Música Urbano.
