ABOUT NOVA TWINS

Alternative rock duo Nova Twins is formed of childhood friends Amy Love and Georgia South. Growing up in London, England, the two performers both played in bands and were often booked to play on the same bill. In 2014, they joined forces and formed a band together (Love on vocals and guitar, South on bass) under the name of BRAATS and they released the single "Bad Bitches".

CAREER

Later in 2014, the duo decided to change their name and landed upon Nova Twins. They released the single "Bassline Bitch" in April 2015, drawing the attention of independent record label Robotunes. They were soon signed to the label and released their self-titled debut EP on the label in 2016. December 2016 saw the twosome perform at the French music festival Rencontres Trans Musicales – a festival known for breaking rising artists.

The band spent the majority of 2017 touring internationally. They performed as support for Prophets of Rage and were named by Tom Morello as "the best band you've never heard of". Nova Twins also supported  Wolf Alice, Little Simz, Dream Wife, Black Honey, and Skunk Anansie. 2017 also saw the release of two singles: "Thelma & Louise" and "Mood Swings", and also saw the duo start the custom clothing line Bad Stitches.

The following year, they continued to tour throughout Europe and America and played at the Afropunk festival in Brooklyn. They also released two singles -  "Hit Girl" and "Lose Your Head". In late 2018, they began recording their debut album with producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Ladytron, Sneaker Pimps, Adele).

In 2019, they released the singles "Devil's Face" and "Vortex" from their forthcoming album, along with their respective music videos. They were invited back to tour with Prophets of Rage again and also toured with Fever 333. Later that year, they signed with Fever 333’s label 333 Wreckords Crew. They also collaborated with Dr Martens on a global campaign, contributing both music and visuals, and were part of several other brand collaborations.

Nova Twins released their debut album, Who Are the Girls?, on February 28, 2020, through 333 Wreckords Crew. The album received critical acclaim from NME, Kerrang!, DIY, and Clash and drew comparisons to Enter Shikari and The Prodigy. The band won Best U.K. Breakthrough Band in the 2020 Heavy Music Awards. In October 2020, they featured on the track "1x1" on Bring Me the Horizon’s album Post Human: Survival Horror.
